I'm a political junkie who loves breaking, reporting and analyzing the news that impacts people's daily lives and decisions. I also love interacting with readers through social media and connecting them with the news that matters to them.

As a 21st century journalist, I understand that news can be told through multiple platforms, and I strive to continually expand my exposure to new storytelling techniques. I enjoy utilizing both the tradition of the printed newspaper and the power of the Internet in disseminating information and sharing the stories of others.

I love journalism because it allows me to inform and educate, while holding community leaders accountable for the decisions they make. My goal is to improve the quality of life for those in my community by bringing to light problems that need fixing and highlighting the inherent good people are capable of.
